Gallagher Bassett Risk Consulting has devised a series of online training courses to help identify, assess and support you and your drivers with the challenges faced in an ever changing environment.
All professional drivers who drive vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, or with 9 passenger seats or more are required to undertake 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years. Held on our webex platform, each Gallagher Bassett training course taken will contribute 7 hours towards your Driver CPC requirements.

Alcohol and Drugs Awareness for the Professional Driver | A CPC course designed to improve a professional drivers knowledge and understanding of the recreational use of alcohol and drugs. This course contains the facts allowing drivers to make better decisions regarding use and their effect on the driving skill. This course also examines legal ramifications for drivers and the risks for failing to adhere to driving rules. |
Driven to Distraction |
Driver distraction is one of the major causes of collisions and near misses. This course focusses on professional drivers and the implications of being distracted for both them and other road users. Understanding the causes and types allows drivers to make better choices about in vehicle activity. |
Fatigue Awareness for Professional Drivers |
Driver Fatigue is a factor in a high volume of serious and fatal collisions annually across the UK. This course outlines the causes of driver fatigue and reminds drivers of the risks of driving whilst potentially impaired and the effect on their decision making and reaction times. |
Human Factors and the Professional Driver |
A course designed for the professional driver to better understand human performance factors and types of human error associated with occupational and specialist driving. |
